Do you enjoy working with young children? Do you like reading and telling children's stories?

If so, then this volunteer opportunity might be of interest to you. The Centre for Community Partnerships is seeking volunteer tutors to take part in a project entitled FROM 3 TO 3©. Volunteer tutors receive training and are supported throughout the duration of the project. We are interested in students from across all faculties and departments and encourage students from any year of study to consider becoming involved.

The goal of FROM 3 TO 3© is to develop children's language and social reasoning abilities for school success. Nineteen schools have been selected by the TDSB to receive the FROM 3 TO 3© programme in Northwest Etobicoke area of the GTA.  Many of the children attending these schools speak English as a second language and come from very diverse cultural backgrounds.

Reasons to Volunteer For This project:

TUTOR RECOGNITION:
  • Participants will receive a certificate for their portfolio for proof of their participation.
  • Awards of Excellence are given to volunteer tutors who have made valuable contributions during their time with the program
