Workshop and Training Opportunities

Through our specialized training programs and Leadership in the Community workshops, you will learn more about yourself and be prepared to play an active role in addressing some of the complex challenges in our local and global communities.
These trainings and workshops are an integral part of the Serve & Learn program as well as any community service activity.

Walk the Talk Workshops
These workshops are required for all students participating in Serve & Learn and Alternative Reading Week, but are open to all students. Walk the Talk explores how we can enter communities with respect and openness to learning about others and ourselves, and gives students the chance to explore how our attitudes, actions and words shape our interactions and can be used to promote equity and inclusivity.

Training Programs
Take your volunteer activities to the next level and learn the knowledge and skills necessary to be a leader in your community. We offer all student groups the opportunity to work with us and create trainings that fulfil your group's needs.

Leadership Development Programs
The University of Toronto Student Life Programs & Projects Department offers a variety of leadership development programs designed to expand the skills, values, and knowledge that you need to contribute to the community in a more meaningful and effective way.
